Local Walk: Lichfield and Elmhurst (Public Transport Friendly)

We're planning a semi-urban but mainly rural route from Lichfield circling north via the villages of Elmhurst, Curborough and Leomansley. Straightforward ramble with nicely architectured buildings as well as peaceful countryside.

Logistics:
Meet: 10:10 check-in, for prompt start within 5-10 minutes, or sooner if all visible are ready
Distance: Around 10 miles , with minimal undulation.
Start Point: by the benches outside Lichfield Cathedral (west end), The Close, WS13 7LD
Parking: Anywhere in Lichfield, allowing time to get to the start point..
Refreshments: Bring fluids and picnic lunch for the hike, also there are pub stop options after the walk.
Public Transport: Cross City line from New Street leaves at 09:06 arriving Lichfield City 09:46 leaving a 10 minute walk to the Cathedral. Also X3 and other buses depending on your start point.

Bring: Waterproofs & Refreshments & Good walking footwear, and clothing to match the weather.
Guests: Under 16s and dogs (well behaved, under control) may attend as guests.
Emergency Contact: 078.137.37.623, though not available for travel advice or lateness problems. Today's walk leader is Paul W.

Safety:
As with any outdoor activity, there is some inherent risk. Whilst we aim to avoid unnecessary risks, participants should take all reasonable precautions themselves. A suitable pace for the walk will be determined by the walk leader, which others must observe by keeping in visible distance, not forging ahead or lagging behind. Those attending are totally responsible for their own safety. You must be comfortable walking the specified distance in order to attend please.

RSVP Commitment:
Places are not unlimited, so withdrawing in the last 24 hours is not allowed. Attendances shouldn't be compromised by ghosting (no-shows, late withdrawals, and uncommitted waitlisting) so reliable attendees will take priority at future events.
