Pub Crawl: More Tipples in Tamworth!

Did you know that a venue in Tamworth has for several years been voted as the UK's very best pub?

This location for a pub crawl has been very popular previously, and there are some new venues or venues we can't visit every time, so here goes again! We will spend a whole afternoon sampling fine ales and ciders, and socializing at our leisure in the very accessible local market town of Tamworth.

Itinerary
Arrive by train or bus, and we will spend an hour in each of several great pubs around the town centre, which are between 1 minute and 5 minutes apart on foot .

Meet 11:00 - 11:45 at The Bolebridge (8 Bolebridge St, B79 7PA)
Pub1 12:00 - 12:55
Pub2 13:00 - 13:55
Pub3 14:00 - 14:55
Pub4 15:00 - 15:55
Pub5 16:00 - 16:55

The idea is that we gather at the BoleBridge (Wetherspoons) to allow for time variations in our public transport over a coffee or a pint, with a view to starting our good-pub tour at Midday sharp.

Some other pubs we may visit (in no particular order) include:
The Market Vaults, 7 Market Street, B79 7LU
The Tamworth Tap, 29 Market Street, B79 7LR
King's Ditch Micropub, 51 Lower Gungate, B79 7AS
Sir Robert Peel, 13 Lower Gungate, B79 7BA
The Phoenix, 32-33 George Street, B79 7LJ
The Old Bank House, 9 Ladybank, B79 7NB
The Sheriff of Tamworth, 10 Colehill, B79 7HE
The Moat House, Lichfield Street, B79 7QQ www.moathouse.com

Food is available at The Market Vaults, The Phoenix, and The Bolebridge. There may be bar snacks at some of the others, but they are not food pubs as such.

Note: We won't announce the exact running order in advance, to maintain flexibility and to discourage joining and leaving at odd times, which should maintain the social dynamic of a fully-attended event, and avoid effort and disruption looking for people repeatedly.

So you need to arrive somewhere between 11am and 12pm (which allows plenty of leeway) please and then stick with us.

Transport
Public Transport is strongly recommended, to avoid driving. Options include (a) Trains from Birmingham (b) 110 bus from Birmingham via Erdington and Sutton Coldfield (c) 765/X65 bus half hourly from Lichfield or hourly from Atherstone (d) Intercity Trains from various other places such as Stafford and Rugby.
