🎄🎅🔔 Christmas Party, Hikes, Music, Potluck, Sing-Along, Speaker & Santa!

Join Dayton Hikers for our annual Christmas celebration filled with hiking, music, delicious food, holiday cheer, and a special visit from Santa!

Reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and celebrate the season together! Enjoy a festive hike at Bill Yeck Park, feast on a delicious holiday potluck, sing your favorite Christmas carols, and soak up the holiday spirit.

This fun-filled event takes place at the Performing Arts Center (PAC) at St. Leonard's in Centerville, conveniently located next to Bill Yeck Park.

🎶 Music & Sing-Along! Locally famous radio host, DJ, and musician Tony Peters will keep the party rocking with your favorite Christmas tunes and lead a festive group sing-along. So warm up those vocal cords and get ready to spread some holiday cheer!

No pets! Two guests are permitted.

THE SCHEDULE:
Noon - Event Begins / Social Hour / Christmas Music
1:00 pm - Hikes Begin / Group Photo
2:30 pm - Potluck Feast / Christmas Music
3:15 pm - Christmas Sing-Along
4:00 pm - Clean up

HIKES: Come dressed in festive Christmas clothing and be ready to hike. Dress for the weather. All hikes depart from the party room at St., Leonard.

Bill Yeck Park Moderate Hike: ~3 miles, moderate pace. Rosemary is the hike leader. Rumor has it that The Hiking Santa will be on this hike. Sign up: https://www.meetup.com/daytonhikers/events/317296882/

GROUP PHOTO: We will take a group photo before the hikes.

POTLUCK: Enjoy a potluck feast after a hike. Please bring a meat dish, soup, an appetizer, a side dish, salad, or dessert to share. Crock pots and hot dishes are welcome. Bring serving utensils, if needed, and label your dish and utensils with your name. Limited electrical outlets are available. No refrigerator.

SING-ALONG: Can you sing? Do you have a good voice? It doesn't matter. Tony Peters will DJ some Christmas music and we will sing along. Form a small singing group and the floor will be yours.

GROUP SING-ALONG: The highlight of the singing is a group rendition of the Twelve Days of Christmas. All will participate in this fun sing along.

BRING:
A water bottle.
BYOB - Bring your own drinks.
Dress festive!

WHAT IS PROVIDED:

A warm, cozy, festive atmosphere
Tableware: forks and spoons
Hot water, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate
Napkins
Drinking water from jugs

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED: An event like this can't happen without volunteers. Please help!

Helpers are needed at 4:00 pm-ish for tear down/clean up. Do you have Christmas decorations we can borrow for this event? We'd love to have your help decorating the hall on Friday afternoon.
