New York Catch the Wind Kiteboarding Basics

We are getting the group together at the beach for an informal introduction to kiteboarding. This session is designed for anyone who has been curious about the sport but hasn't had the chance to get started yet. We will cover the basic mechanics of how the kites work, safety protocols on the sand, and what to look for when you are ready to start taking lessons in the water. It is a great way to meet others in the area who are interested in the sport and to get a better sense of what the learning curve actually looks like. You do not need to bring any specialized gear for this one, just yourself and some comfortable clothing for a day out by the water. We will be keeping things low-pressure and focused on answering your questions so you can decide if this is something you want to pursue further.
