Set by group at times. Please do not join if you don’t stay with the group. Please watch the weather and come prepared. This is a long trail. Breaks and getting adjusted to elevation can take a while. Weather can bring lots of surprises from rain, hail, windstorm and thunderstorm. We will check frequent weather updates. You must be conditioned for the elevation to join this event. If you have not hiked in Mt Charleston yet, this is not the hike to join. As with any hike, you are responsible for your own safety and well-being. Knowing your limits and proper preparation are key to a successful and enjoyable outing. Always listening to your body when it comes to elevation hikes. If at any time you feel dizzy or nauseated, you do need to turn around. One suggestion is to drive up to Mt Charleston a few days before to get acclimated and do a short hike prior to a longer route. What to bring: Headlamp, 4/5lt of water (cache water at Echo Overlook is also an option), electrolytes, salt tablets, energy chews, lots of snacks, lunch, sunscreen, hat, comfortable hiking shoes, poles, windbreaker. Always keep medical and emergency information in your pack. NO GUESTS, NO CHILDREN, NO DOGS (unless approved) Disclaimer: By signing up for and/or attending this Meet Up, you acknowledge, accept and agree to the following: Hiking and other outdoor activities can be dangerous and cause serious bodily injury and/or possibly death. The organizers of this group and current and former members will not be held responsible/liable for the actions of any participant at any event.
