BROOKLYN Smutty Book Club - Hallowpeen by Holly Wilde

The book for October was recommended by Amanda and won by a unanimous vote - Hallowpeen: A Sentient Object Romance by Holly Wilde. We pretty much chose it based on the title and cover alone.

Quick housekeeping note: Scammers have been using the name of Smutty Book Club and its organizers to invite people to for-profit events. If you receive any solicitation for an event or receive communication outside of Meetup asking for money, then it is a scam. Please let us know if you see anything suspicious.

Ok back to Hallowpeen. Here's what the publisher says:
. Three women, one occult ritual, and an urban legend come true are waiting for you to discover just how delicious Halloween can be.
. Everyone in the small town of Hollow Springs knows that Halloween night is when the veil of sentience is at its thinnest. So no one would attempt a ridiculous ritual on the night of a full moon, right?
Wrong.
. This sentient object romance follows two friends who tempt fate deliciously and end up having a legendary time with the local urban legends. Curl up with some candy and a pumpkin spice latte while you enjoy the autumnal delights of Hallowpeen.

Please note: Paddy's of Park Slope serves plenty of drinks, but does not serve food. They welcome people to bring in food, or order in.

Happy reading and come with suggestions for November.
