I’m launching a small research project called The Working Trader Project. The goal is to document the honest experiences of ordinary retail traders—not influencers, gurus, or necessarily people claiming extraordinary returns. I’m looking for an initial group of traders from different backgrounds who are willing to share what trading has actually required: early misconceptions, losses, turning points, risk-management lessons, personal pressures, and evidence of progress. You do not need to be famous, wealthy, consistently profitable, or a full-time trader. Stories involving rebuilding, breakeven, inconsistency, or deciding to stop trading may be equally valuable. A few important points about legitimacy and privacy: I am not selling a trading course, signals, investment services, or access to a trading program. There is no fee to apply or participate. The application will never request money, brokerage credentials, passwords, account numbers, or tax information. Responses may be submitted in writing, by audio recording, or through a combination of both. Applying is not consenting to publication. Applications, audio recordings, trading information, and supporting details will remain private unless the applicant later provides separate, specific written permission. Selected participants will review any proposed profile before deciding whether to authorize publication. I’m beginning with only a small founding group so I can evaluate the process carefully and responsibly.
