Curious about what the next generation of AI-powered software development looks like? Join us at Deutsche Bank's Berlin Technology Centre for an evening of hands-on learning with GitHub Copilot and agent-driven development, led by GitHub Developer Relations Engineer Sandra Ahlgrimm.

This event is hosted by Deutsche Bank's Berlin Technology Centre in cooperation with the JUG Berlin-Brandenburg and JCON, bringing together developers, technology enthusiasts, and members of the local software engineering community for a practical, workshop-focused experience.

Agenda of the evening:
18:00 Doors open
18:30 — Welcome and introduction to GitHub Copilot
Key features, practical examples, and an overview of agent-driven development.
19:00 — Hands-on workshops in small groups

Planned workshop options include:

GitHub Copilot App Workshop: explore agent-driven development, from picking up issues and running agents to reviewing changes and merging pull requests.
Agent Lab — Java: build a Social Bingo application with Java and Spring Boot using GitHub Copilot’s Agent Mode in VS Code.
App Modernization: use GitHub Copilot to modernise a legacy Java application, including upgrading from Java 8 to 21, adding health endpoints, and containerising the application.

Please bring your laptop to the workshop. You will need a GitHub account; if you do not have a GitHub Copilot licence, please have a personal GitHub account ready for workshop access.
