Car/Bus Ramble: Tollerton Area

Start time: Arrive 10.15am for 10.30am. Walk: 6.5 miles. Meet at ‘The Air Hostess’ car park (details above). Circular morning walk Tollerton, Clipston, Normanton-on-the-Wolds, Tollerton. 6 stiles (including one with quite a steep access and in slippery conditions will be safer using walking poles). The route can be adapted to suit the weather conditions. A hot tea/coffee may be available from the farm shop in Clipston halfway through in the morning. We should be back at the pub for about 2pm. Meet at ‘The Air Hostess’, Stanstead Avenue, Tollerton, Nottingham, NG12 4EA, Grid Ref: SK 607 340 Direction by bus: Catch the TrentBarton bus: The Keyworth from Nottingham – Broadmarsh Bus Station. Get off at the Tollerton Lane Bus Stop on the Melton Road, Tollerton and walk back north-west a short distance to find Stanstead Avenue leading directly to the Air Hostess. Buses every twenty mins – journey time 20 mins. Important to know: There are usually 10-15 people on these walks. A lot of the walkers will be club members and are not on the Meetup website. What to bring: Please dress appropriately for a country walk.
