New - Tim’s walk: an exploration of medieval Smithfield

Come and join Tim on an exploration of Smithfield where medieval London comes to life.
This is a much more detailed walk than the ones we’ve done in the past.
We’ll look in depth at one of the most historic areas of London, full of reminders of the past.
We’ll visit two churches dating from the 11th century and two, perhaps three museums which bring to life the history of the area over the last 800 years.
We’ll look at the rise and fall of the monasteries that dominated this area and visit some of the most historic and beautiful churches in London.
This is a weatherproof walk; if it’s raining we’ll just spend a bit more time indoors.
We’ll end in one of London’s great pubs.
