Whether you are already an experienced walk leader or are thinking about getting involved for the first time, this event is for you.

For current walk leaders, it’s a great opportunity to share experiences, exchange ideas, and pick up useful tips from others.

For anyone considering walk leading, it’s a friendly and informal chance to find out what’s involved and see how rewarding it can be.

Walk leading gives you the chance to share your favourite routes, discover new ones, build confidence, and help others enjoy the beautiful countryside.

Walk leaders are at the heart of everything we do. Without volunteers to lead walks, we simply can’t offer the varied programme that our members enjoy. We are always keen to support both existing leaders and anyone who would like to start leading walks in the future.

The opportunity to chat with experienced walk leaders and share ideas and experiences.
Advice on useful route-planning resources.
Demonstrations and practical tips on planning enjoyable and safe walks.
Small group discussions exploring real-life walk-leading scenarios and how to deal with them.
A question-and-answer session where you can ask anything about walk leading.
Refreshments and lunch.

This event is being hosted jointly by Hike Norfolk Ramblers and Norwich Ramblers, bringing together the experience and knowledge of both groups to support current and future walk leaders.
