Distance: 12 miles
Join us for a unique hike through the greater Lambertville/New Hope areas, featuring breathtaking views of the Delaware River, the historic D&R Canal Feeder, the converted Rails to Trails area, and more.

We’ll also explore historic Lambertville and check out some of the coolest, funkiest Halloween decorations in town. Following last year’s huge success when artist Dolores Dragan first brought her iconic Halloween artwork from her house to the local storefronts, the town-wide Trail of Magic returns for its second year with a fresh vibe—and even adds a free audio tour this year to elevate the experience!

Part 1: Bull’s Island Exploration (~3 miles)
We will begin our outing at Bull’s Island, taking a loop around the island to visit the northern intake point where the Delaware River feeds into the D&R Canal Feeder, as well as the spillway at the southern tip.
Part 2: Lambertville & D&R Canal Hike (~8 miles)
After finishing our loop at Bull’s Island, we will take a short drive (about 6–7 miles) south to regroup at the CVS parking lot in Lambertville (1 Cherry St, Lambertville, NJ 08530) to kick off the second leg of our hike through the Lambertville and New Hope area.
