We will photograph the full moon as it comes up between the Zakim's towers. (The picture does not show what to expect, but it's the best I have.) You can take individual photos, create a timelapse, or do a moon streak with 10 stop ND filter whichever you prefer (or all).

The moon will rise at 6:20pm (at the end of the blue hour). but probably won't be visible until about 6:30, and will be a little over 2 miles away. About 300 mm should get it right.

Our shooting location will be a new one (the Esplanade). I, for one, have never shot the moon rising from the Boston side of the Charles.

Dress warmly. It will have been in the 50s during the day, but cooling down at night. Overnight (which we will not be) it will dip down to 31 degrees, but the wind will be light. Dress in layers, bring gloves, head wear etc.

Make sure to check in with the organizer and, as always, no guests.
