BIG SKY MONTANA (after Jackson Hole)

BIG SKY MONTANA (first half of Big Sky/Jackson Hole Trip):
Big Sky is the second biggest ski resort in the United States and gets the most consistent snowfall amount of any ski resort in the United States. On clear days, from the top of Lone Peak, you can see three states (MT, ID, WY) and two national parks (Tetons and Yellowstone). There is a TON of skiing for people of all levels! The craziest triple black diamond runs are all over the top of Lone Peak and Headwaters Lift, whereas the rest of the mountain is filled with ALL Types of terrain for everyone.. Bowls, trees, long groomers, mogul runs, steeps, mellow blues.

Big Sky is on the Ikon Base Pass, whereas Jackson Hole is only on the Ikon Full (or other upper tier passes). Many people will join for both halves of the trip but many will just sign up for Big Sky. The drive from Jackson Hole to Big Sky is about a 3.5 hour drive (through West Yellowstone, and through the Grand Tetons.

LODGING:
All Houses are all near each other in Big Sky (although not ski-in, ski-out). The order in which your payment will dictate bed selection you will get (we can not guarantee anything in terms of roommates or bedding since we often need to take into account couples willing to share beds and gender, whenever possible). There are shared beds and upper bunk beds. Big Sky is amazing, but lodging is EXPENSIVE so this is a trip where we need to "cram" to keep costs down. We do all need to maintain some flexibility in case not all houses fill, or in case a house gets cancelled by any owners, etc.

This house has one king bedroom, one queen bedroom, one room with a queen bed and bunk bed, and one room with 2 twin beds. Plenty of common space to spread out and enjoy evening activities, plus a balcony, fireplace and private hot tub. There is also a community pool, sauna and a second hot tub.

We booked this house during our last trip to Big Sky and it worked out well. It says it can sleep 14 people, but we are only putting in 10 people. There are 3 rooms with king beds, and one bunk room which has 2 sets of bunk beds and one pull out sofa. We will only put 4 people in the bunk room to leave one bed open. This house has a hot tub.

This house has 2 primary bedrooms with kings, and one bunk room with 3 sets of bunk beds. We will plan to leave one of the top bunk beds open and the bunk room may be mixed gender. We may fit in 9 people only if everyone in the last bedroom is ok with it. This house does not have a hot tub.

Most trip attendees will have Ikon Passes or Base Passes. If you are planning to purchase an Ikon Pass, reach out to John for more information on the group program. We do not have group discounted lift tickets for this trip specifically.

CANCELLATION:
No refunds after Nov 1st unless a replacement traveler is found. Cancellations incur minimal admin fees depending on the date. $10 until Oct 1st, $20 until Nov 1st, $30 until Dec 1st, $40 after Jan 1, $50 after Jan 20.
