Every relationship you're in runs on a contract. Nobody drafted it, nobody read it aloud, and nobody signed it, yet everyone knows the terms and enforces them. Some you inherited. Some you agreed to years ago, when they asked for much less. Some were written by the person with more power and handed to you as simply how things are.
The Unwritten Contract is a facilitated conversation about reading those terms out loud. Using vocabulary borrowed from communities that negotiate power on purpose, we'll look at everyday relationships through a few questions:
Consent: Is yes a one-time signature, or a condition that has to keep being true?
Capacity vs. intention: What happens when we say yes because we want to, and pay for it with energy we don't have?
Power and care: What do people in authority carry, and why does care so rarely flow upward?
Accountability: What actually keeps power in check, and what only looks like it does?
