Jazz Concert: The Pablo Mayor Trio

The Pablo Mayor Trio brings a refreshing, groove-based authenticity to the genre of Latin Jazz, rooted in Mayor’s in-depth study of his native Colombia’s folkloric music, along with a background in jazz arranging and a history of performing Afro-Caribbean music.

The ensemble features longtime collaborators Franco Pinna on drums, bringing a colorful, unpredictable, and nuanced sound to the group, and Dave Hertzberg on bass, whose deep groove colored by his experience ranging from straight-ahead jazz to Cuban timba, rock, klezmer, and Colombian music, brings a truly unique expression of contemporary Latin jazz.
