Our chosen book for September is 'A Barrister for the Earth', by Monica Feria-Tinta, a lawyer involved in defending the Rights of Nature in civil actions around the world. Here's what Isabella Tree said about this book: "Law could be our planet's greatest hope. I was punching the air as I read this powerful, inspiring book." The book has ten chapters, each of which details an individual case where the law has been used to defend nature. If time is short you could select the chapters which you are most interested in. Note that the paperback edition came out on 21 May, ISBN 978-0571386376. Meet at 7:30pm on Wednesday 16 September.
