TYPE: Weekly walk | PACE: Moderate | TERRAIN: Paved trail | DISTANCE: Approximately 3–4 miles |

Join us for a Saturday morning walk along the St. Vrain Greenway, followed by the Longmont Museum's Grand Reopening Celebration and lunch at Parkway Food Hall!

We will meet in front of the Longmont Rec Center at 9:00 AM, quickly check out the ribbon cutting, and then head out for walk going west on the St Vrain.

We will do an out and back of 4 miles passing by Kanemoto and some other beautiful spots along the river path.

Afterwards, we'll head over to the Longmont Museum's Grand Reopening Celebration! The museum is celebrating its newly renovated and expanded spaces with a free community event. We'll have a chance to explore the new exhibits, check out the galleries, and participate in the celebration's special activities. It's a great opportunity to see what's new at one of Longmont's favorite cultural spaces!

The rec center and museum have extensive parking (including a new lot for the museum!), but it may fill up. Please give yourself time to find neighborhood parking if needed. I don't expect it to fill up this early.

After exploring the museum, we'll head over to Parkway Food Hall for lunch. With lots of different food options, it's a great place to grab a bite and continue the conversation. Lunch is optional and at your own expense.

A walk is another way to connect with nature and other community members. All ages and fitness levels are encouraged. Bilingual (Spanish) is welcomed.

Walking Movement Leader:
Jorge Garza. I have been walking with Longmont Walks for over a year and am incredibly excited to be a walk leader. Hoping to host walks all over some of my favorite spots in Longmont and beyond. Always looking to connect with new people and walk in beautiful weather. Text me if you have any questions or need help finding us (520-390-8707).

How to prepare: Bring your essentials to your needs, which may include a comfortable pair of walking shoes, clothing for appropriate weather, water, hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses. The walk will be on the mostly flat, paved St. Vrain Greenway. Parking is available at Kanemoto Park.

Meeting site: Longmont Rec Center.
We will meet at 9:00 AM in front of the recreation center. We will walk over briefly to the museum to see a bit of the ribbon cutting, then walk west towards Kanemoto for a round trip of 4 miles.

Release of liability: By signing up for this walk, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own safety and well-being throughout the event. This is a volunteer-led experience. Volunteers are not liable for any injury or illness that may happen during the event or that results from participating in this event. Please take good care to only sign up for walks or hikes that are within your skill level and comfort. As always, have fun and be safe!
