37mile social ride. Starts at the Shoreham Tollbridge and finishes at Shoreham railway station. Suitable for all bikes. Mixture of road and bridleways. 528m ascent. Some busy road sections. The route crosses two very busy roads - the A283 Steyning bypass and the A27 at Sompting. Please take extra care and attention at these junctions and make your own assessment when it's safe to cross. We will wait on the other side if the group gets split up. Two long climbs - the Hangleton bridleway and Sopers Lane. Morning coffee, after 10miles, at the Wildflower cafe in Sadlescombe, and lunch after a further 10miles at the Windmill Inn in Partridge Green. Option of avoiding the Sopers Lane climb by taking the Downslink at Bramber back to Shoreham.
Please ensure that your bike is roadworthy and you bring with you sufficient equipment and spares to repair any punctures.
All participants are ultimately responsible for their own safety and getting home if bike cannot be repaired roadside. The first aid provisions are no different from if they were riding on their own or informally with friends.
