Join Randy for a refreshing November hike through the beautiful wooded landscape of Pike Lake State Park, part of Wisconsin’s Kettle Moraine region.
We’ll explore a variety of trails within the park, winding through woodlands and across the rolling terrain shaped by glaciers thousands of years ago. With the leaves largely off the trees by November, we’ll have a chance to appreciate the contours of the landscape and the quieter beauty of the late-autumn woods.
This will be a 6–8 mile hike, with some hilly sections and rocky, uneven trailsalong the way. Sturdy hiking shoes are recommended, and hikers should be prepared for a few challenging stretches.
Distance: Approximately 6–8 miles
Terrain: Wooded trails with hills, rocks, and uneven footing.
Park Admission: A Wisconsin State Park vehicle admission sticker is required. Day passes are available for those who do not have an annual sticker.
Hike Leader: Randy
Bring water, dress in layers for the November weather, and come prepared for a good stretch of trail. The crisp air, peaceful woods, and rolling hills of Pike Lake make this a wonderful place to enjoy a late-fall adventure!
A few hills, a little November chill, and plenty of fresh air — everything is better in hiking boots!
