Murieston Exploration

An exploration taking in several sites, starting with Murieston Water (with woodlands and meadows), then walking around Linhouse (woods with a gravel path) finishing with a circular around Almondell and Calderwood country park, before heading back to the start. An interesting varied walk, close to Livingston. We'll meet at a small free car park off Murieston Trial (there is also residential street parking nearby - such as Albyn Drive) and after the walk (and if weather permits), we will then move onto the Bankton House Bistro, a 5 minute drive from the car park for refreshments - it has a beer garden which allows dogs. Distance: c. 12km Elevation gain: c. 300m Terrain: Mixture of gravel paths and woodland paths, and some roads. Some areas will be close to roads but I will advise when to get the pooches on lead to avoid any accidents. Walking can pose a danger of personal injury to both you and your dog, and all participants should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions, involvement and enjoyment. Participants are also responsible for ensuring that their walking gear is suitable for the nature of the walk and the prevailing weather conditions (which participants are responsible for checking) and for bringing adequate food and water supplies.
