Join Ros for a lively discussion of A Case of Mice and Murder, a cunning and delightful mystery with rich characters and period detail so vivid, you can touch it. When barrister Gabriel Ward steps out of his rooms at exactly two minutes to seven on a sunny May morning in 1901, his mind is so full of his latest case - the disputed authorship of bestselling children's book Millie the Temple Church Mouse - that he scarcely registers the body of the Lord Chief Justice of England on his doorstep. The police can enter the Temple only by consent\, so who better to investigate this tragic breach of law and order than a man who prizes both above all things? We will meet in the Castle Inn on Castle Hill at 7pm in the hour before IVC Pub night - feel free to stay on for drinks afterwards! The Castle is a quaint traditional pub offering a full range of drinks, including real ales and pub food. Please bring along £1 (or £12 for the year) as a contribution to Meetup fees - this £1 is only payable by non-fully-paid members of IVC (and can be reclaimed if you decide to join the CambsIVC membership group). Parking is free in the Shire Hall car park from 7pm. Books to look forward to in the coming months: The Murder at the Vicarage by Agatha Christie Actually, I'm a Murderer by Terry Deary A Morbid Taste for Bones by Ellis Peters
