Wine in a Changing Climate: How Regions and Winemakers are Adapting Around the World.

Rising temperatures, earlier harvests, droughts and violent storms are reshaping the world of wine. Classic regions are facing challenges they've never seen before, while places once thought too cold for fine wine are now producing award winners. The world's wine map is being redrawn, and growers are fighting back in remarkable ways.

In this evening's tasting, Jack Matthews, of Twelve Degrees Wine, explores how wine regions around the globe are responding. We'll look at how growers are combining centuries-old vineyard wisdom with new technology to protect their crops and the character of their wines.

There is much talk fo the doom and gloom of climate change. Let us explore - and celebrate - how people are doing things differently to overcome the hurdles that can often seem to be insurmountable. This will be an uplifting evening, from the perspective of global resilience, and from human ingenuity.
