The second stop on our world exploration will be at the Christkindlmarket in Aurora, Illinois.
We can shop for ornaments, decorations, food and drinks. It will be a wonderful place to find gifts for ourselves and others. If we are lucky, we will be entertained by music and dance.
A Christkindlmarkt (or Christ Child Market) is a traditional German-speaking street market held during the four weeks of Advent. The market originated in Germany and the German-speaking parts of Europe during the late Middle Ages. It allowed the people to stock up on food and drink before winter and to purchase homemade goods.
