Saturday morning crafting at Manny's, the cafeteria-style deli on Jefferson that's been running since 1942. How it works if you've never been: you go through the line with a tray, tell the carver what you want, and find a table. Get there, get your food, then find us — we'll have a table with more yarn on it than anyone else's. Bring whatever you're working on, and come hungry. The portions are not modest. This one's further north than our usual — Near West Side rather than South Side — so give yourself travel time. There's a free lot behind the restaurant, and the 12 Roosevelt Road bus drops you around the corner. Manny's opens at 8, so early arrivals have somewhere to sit. Free to attend, no sign-up.
