With over 300 unique sign languages used around the world today, these vibrant languages are rich, expressive systems of communication that foster deep connection across diverse communities. Together, we will learn fundamental fingerspelling techniques, common everyday gestures, and gentle exercises that highlight how much we can communicate through sight, motion, and expression. What to Expect 🖐️ Fingerspelling & Alphabets: Learn basic manual alphabets and practice spelling out your name and simple words 🙏 Everyday Greetings: Discover common signs for daily greetings, gratitude, and simple expressions ✌️ Interactive Practice: Engage in non-verbal group communication games 🤝 Community Insights: Gain a thoughtful glimpse into how deaf individuals communicate, the unique challenges they navigate, and how we can support them Who Is It For? ✧ Everyone, no prior experience with sign language is necessary ✧ Anyone interested in basic sign language and manual communication ✧ Anyone passionate about accessibility, inclusion, and learning different ways of communication This is a free community event.
