Summertime in Springtime Music Arvo. The Cycle Touring Troubadours will be back Saturday 10 October, Mark Street Hall, Fitz Nth. Andy Colville, formerly of The bushwackers on lead, Andrew Soos on 5 string banjo; in a club first, Ron Kousal on Piano Accordion and former Melbourne pub rocker Paul Lewis on rhythm guitar. The afternoon will start at lunchtime, 1pm with yummy stuff to eat and drink, bring a cup, plate, utensils. Simple sing along classics, classics of folk, 60’s rock, Gershwin classics will be performed. The music will celebrate all those themes we cherish as cycle tourers, the sanctity of the group, the sanctity of the individual, the vast breathtaking beauty of the landscapes we cycle through, the sense of the sacred but also it’s brutality without warning, forcing us to pare down and rely on each other. The euphoria of dinner together at day’s end. Bring a favourite hat to celebrate individuality. Once again, bring a cup, plate, utensils, the hall has a kitchen and toilets. Mark Street Hall is a very pleasant half kilometer walk from our former venue Edinburgh Gardens Community Room.
