Vibecoding Between Meetings: Using an AI-Native SDLC as Engineering Leverage
As you move into Senior+, Tech Lead, or Engineering Manager roles, your calendar fills up and your time to build shrinks. Yet your responsibility for technical outcomes, architecture, and knowledge sharing doesn't disappear.
This talk shows how an AI-Native SDLC, powered by Kiro, becomes practical leverage for engineers working in fragmented time. Through a hands-on story of vibecoding between meetings, we'll explore a setup designed for the challenges that dominate senior roles: problem framing, architectural reasoning, documentation, and alignment. Real examples include building a first MCP server PoC and deploying it to AWS AgentCore, creating custom agent pipelines for infrastructure discovery, and automating the flow from triage to code review with composable AI skills.
While the focus is on Senior+ and Engineering Manager workflows, the tools and patterns shown are just as valuable earlier in a career, offering a powerful boost for learning, exploration, and day-to-day development, and you'll leave with concrete examples and a repeatable blueprint for applying an AI-native SDLC in your own context.
AI-Driven Incident Response: From Alert to Postmortem
When an alert fires, the real work begins: gathering logs, correlating metrics, digging through source code, checking past incidents, and documenting everything — often under pressure.
What if AI could do that for you?
In this talk, we explore how AI agents can transform incident response. From automatically creating enriched tickets, aggregating context across metrics, logs, code, and historical incidents, to generating postmortems and even executing safe remediation steps — AI becomes an active part of your operational workflow.
We’ll walk through a real-world architecture, lessons learned, guardrails for autonomous actions, and where AI meaningfully improves MTTR — and where it doesn’t.
