🔥🎬 THE HUNGER GAMES: SUNRISE ON THE REAPING

🐦‍🔥 Three more months. Twice the tributes. One arena!

👋 Hey everyone! We’re meeting for the latest Hunger Games prequel, based on Suzanne Collins’ fifth book in the series. This is also the second prequel film, set 40 years after The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes and 24 years before the original Hunger Games, with Francis Lawrence returning to direct.

The story takes us back to the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell, and follows a young Haymitch Abernathy as he enters the arena. It explores the traumatic history that would eventually shape him into the cynical, alcoholic mentor we later meet alongside Katniss and Peeta.

The Meetup: We’ll meet for drinks before the film to chat about the series, share our predictions, and ponder what a dystopian future might actually look like from our own perspectives. Afterwards, we’ll regroup to discuss what we’ve witnessed, share our thoughts, and give the film our Letterboxd scores.

.Full timings and meetup details will be added nearer the date, so check back here for updates.

The future may be uncertain and dark, but there is always hope and light to be found.

See you guys then!
Tom
