Soul & Sip Book Club - Twelfth Gathering

Book: Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman

We’re excited to welcome you to our twelfth Soul & Sip meeting — a full year of shared learning, growth, and connection! 🎉
This month, we’re exploring Thinking, Fast and Slow, a fascinating dive into how our minds make decisions, how biases shape behavior, and how awareness can improve clarity, creativity, and self-understanding.
Whether you’ve been here since meeting one or are joining for the first time, this evening is all about reflection, curiosity, and expanding the way we see ourselves and the world.

What to Expect

Our gathering will be conversational, insightful, and mentally refreshing. Together, we’ll:
✨ reconnect and greet new and familiar faces
✨ explore key ideas from Kahneman’s research on intuition vs. reasoning
✨ examine how our mind’s “two systems” show up in daily life
✨ share moments when your thinking surprised you or shifted
✨ sip something cozy while deepening awareness and connection
Expect curiosity, good conversation, laughter, and plenty of aha moments.

Agenda (Approx 1.5 Hours)

7:00–7:10 — Arrivals, welcome, and settle in
7:10–7:25 — Check-in & icebreaker (share a time when your “fast thinking” got it right — or wrong!)
7:25–8:05 — Book discussion & guided reflection prompts
8:05–8:20 — Key takeaways, insight applications, and intentions
8:20–8:30 — Announcements, next book reveal & host rotation

Discussion Themes We'll Explore

What new awareness did you gain about how you think?
Which biases or decision-making patterns resonated most with you?
How do intuition and logic each play a role in your daily life?
What surprised you about human judgment or perception?
How can you apply these insights to relationships, work, or wellbeing?

No need to be an expert — just bring curiosity and openness.

What to Bring

✔ Your copy of Thinking, Fast and Slow
✔ Notes, highlighted passages, or personal reflections
✔ Your favorite drink to sip (tea, sparkling water, wine, etc.)
✔ An open mind, thoughtful curiosity, and good energy
Optional: a notebook for capturing aha moments or insights

Location & RSVP

Address will be shared upon RSVP.

Final Note

This community is a no-pressure, come-as-you-are space — reflective thinkers, quiet listeners, deep feelers, and enthusiastic sharers all belong here.
Whether you read every page or skimmed the chapters that called to you, your presence matters.
We can’t wait to gather, think together, and keep expanding our Soul & Sip community into its second year.
See you soon! ✨
