Here's what our group looks like: https://www.meetup.com/thinking-peoples-group/photos/36028739/534705091/ Food for thought, not necessarily the discussion topic: Salvador Dalí was a Spanish surrealist artist renowned for his technical skill, precise draftsmanship, and the striking and bizarre images in his work. Influenced by Impressionism and the Renaissance masters from a young age, he became increasingly attracted to Cubism and avant-garde movements. He moved closer to Surrealism in the late 1920s and joined the Surrealist group in 1929, soon becoming one of its leading exponents. Some other stuff we discuss: 1. Question based - somewhat structured discussions around a few central questions each time\, related to topics in the sciences\, social sciences\, literature\, technology\, art\, philosophy\, etc. Some will be hosted by professors or other experts\, and others will be more decentralized. In either case\, participation is encouraged. They’re not lectures or presentations. 2. Short readings\, fiction or non\, including short stories\, articles\, and excerpts from longer pieces 3.
