Bhavayaana: Indian Vocal Music

with Suhasini Murthy A two-hour musical journey celebrating the diversity of Indian music, featuring samples from multiple languages, genres, and musical traditions. From classical and light music to folk, film, and contemporary songs, the performance will explore the many colors and moods of Indian music. In Person Only at the SF Dharma Collective, 2929 24th Street. Suhasini Murthy is an Indian music vocalist with over 20 years of stage experience. Based in the Bay Area, she performs with Raaga, Swaraum, and other musical groups. She has also had the opportunity to recently perform with renowned music composer Manomurthy and renowned singer Abby. She is the recent winner of the Voice of Bay Area singing competition and was a finalist on the popular Kannada singing show Ede Thumbi Haaduvenu. Suhasini has trained in Carnatic music under Sri O. S. Thyagarajan, and has learnt Bharatanatyam. Her repertoire spans Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, and other Indian languages, blending her classical training with her passion for contemporary Indian music. She continues to perform regularly at concerts and cultural events across the Bay Area.
