Chambly Women’s Book Club – August Meeting 📖 City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert 📅 August 30th at 1:00 PM 📍 Presse Café Chambly For our August gathering, we will be reading City of Girls - a vibrant\, immersive novel about youth\, freedom\, mistakes\, reinvention\, and the boldness of living life on your own terms. Set in the glamorous and chaotic world of 1940s New York theater, this story follows a young woman who is sent to live with her aunt in Manhattan, where she becomes part of a dazzling bohemian world. It is a story filled with color, indulgence, heartbreak, and ultimately, self-discovery. As always, our discussion will be relaxed and welcoming. There is no pressure to analyze deeply or to have finished the entire book. Whether you’ve read a little or a lot, you are warmly invited to join. Discussions will be mainly in English, with some French welcome as well if helpful. Come for meaningful conversation, connection, and a cozy summer afternoon over coffee or tea.
