Moin, dear hikers! Let's go into the woods next Saturday and take a walk! We will start at the train station in Suderburg, near Uelzen, and do a bigger counterclockwise loop through mixed, old, solitude and magnificent forests until we reach the beach of Lake Hardau after about three quarters of the way. There is also a bar which will give us the opportunity for refreshment (... if open). Later on we'll follow the Hardau river back to Suderburg.

It is not easy to shorten the hike, so it is only recommended for experienced hikers with proved shoes. Bring your own snacks and enough water/drinks. Friendly dogs that are kept on a leash are also welcome.

The train RE3 in the direction of Hannover starts in Hamburg Hauptbahnhof at 9:26 from platform 8 (usually, but check the displays on Saturday!) and arrives in Suderburg at 10:35. For the backtrip from Suderburg we will take one of the hourly trains, either the one going 17:31 or the one at 18:31 and should be back in Hamburg either at 19:05 or 20:05.

We meet at Hamburg Hauptbahnhof on platform 8, section B, below the sign 'B' at 9:15 and enter the train as soon as it arrives. Alternatively, if you start somewhere else or would like to have your peace and quiet during the journey, we will meet at 10:35 at the Suderburg train station. Without a Deutschland-Ticket, buying a Niedersachen-Ticket is the best option for the trip. As it is a circular hike, arriving in Suderburg by car is also possible.

Please play nice and only sign up if your are 100% sure that you will join! Unreliable people (no show or late cancellation) may be excluded from future events with limited capacity. Repeat offenders will get banned from the group.

As always, this is a free event, but voluntary donations are welcome and help me to cover the costs of this group. Nobody is expected to give, only do it if you can afford and if you like to. Look out for the violet donation box towards the end of the hike.
