Santa Maria Vinyl Foundations: The Art of Digging

If you have ever found yourself staring at a crate of records feeling a bit overwhelmed, or if you just want to get better at finding hidden gems in the local shops, this meetup is for you. We are getting together in Santa Maria to talk about the fundamentals of crate digging. This is a low-pressure space meant for people who are just starting out and want to learn how to spot a good pressing, how to grade condition, and how to develop an ear for music they might have overlooked.

We will keep things casual and focused on sharing what we know. Whether you are building your first collection or just curious about why so many of us still prefer the tactile experience of vinyl, you will fit right in. We will walk through some basic techniques for searching effectively and discuss how to keep your records in good shape. If you have been looking for a reason to get out and connect with other local collectors, please RSVP so we can get a sense of how many people to expect.
