Christmas In Bath With Trip To Oxford & The Cotswold 24 - 27 December

Are you bored of the same ole same ole during the Christmas celebrations? Join us in Bath a perfect opportunity to enjoy the festive season with others in the same boat, come solo or with friends, 99% of our guests attend our events alone and make new friendships. Don't be alone again this Christmas.

Bath is a historic city in Somerset, England, renowned for its Roman-built baths, Georgian architecture, and status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Bath combines natural beauty, historical depth, and cultural richness, making it a unique and enduring destination in the UK.

Due to the Christmas holidays, our main excursion will take place on Sunday 27 December.

We’ll enjoy a full-day trip combining Oxford and the Cotswolds, with stops in two of the area’s most beautiful villages — Bibury and Burford.

The day will include time to explore Oxford, followed by a scenic journey through the Cotswolds, where we’ll stop in Bibury and Burford to enjoy the picturesque streets, traditional stone cottages and charming village atmosphere.

We expect to return to Bath by around 6:00pm. Depending on the final arrangements, we can either collect our luggage from the hotel or, if permitted by the coach company, leave our luggage safely in the coach hold during the excursion. We’ll then make our way to Bath Spa station for our train home.

It’s a lovely way to finish the Christmas break — with optional spa and one final day of sightseeing before heading back.

Once your payment has been received, I will set up a WhatsApp group around September or October to keep everyone updated. By then, the train schedules, departure times and prices should hopefully be available, and I’ll share all the final travel arrangements with the group.

Name of hotel disclosed once paid in full as usual, our hotel will be 4 star and in the heart of the city centre.

Day 1: Christmas Eve – Thu 24 Dec

Wander Pulteney Bridge, Bath Abbey, Royal Crescent

Evening: Carols at Bath Abbey (17:00–18:30) | Festive dinner at The Griffin Inn or Sotto Sotto

Night: Warm up with mulled wine; enjoy Christmas lights

We will visit Green Park Brasserie for Christmas Eve dinner on the 24th. Candlelight, food and live music which would make a lovely first evening for us.

Day 2: Christmas Day – Fri 25

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE
Relaxed City & Traditional Feast, chill day
- Morning: Slow B&B breakfast\, Walk along the River Avon

Day 3: Boxing Day – Sat 26 Dec 2 HR SPA @ Thermae Bath Spa

Spa session and use of towel & robe Price £50 Needs to be pre booked

Spend Boxing Day relaxing in the naturally warm, mineral-rich thermal waters of Thermae Bath Spa, right in the heart of beautiful Bath.
After the excitement of Christmas Day, this is our chance to slow down, unwind and enjoy one of Bath’s most famous experiences.

During our spa visit, we can enjoy the spectacular open-air rooftop pool, with wonderful views across Bath and the surrounding hills, as well as the Minerva Bath, the spa’s largest thermal bath, complete with massage jets and whirlpool features.

We'll also have access to the Wellness Suite, featuring a selection of relaxing sensory experiences, including steam rooms, an infrared room and other wellness facilities inspired by spa traditions.

For anyone wanting refreshments during the visit, the Springs Café serves light bites and drinks.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF BOXING DAY
Instead of spending Boxing Day sitting at home, come and enjoy a relaxing spa experience with a friendly group in one of England’s most beautiful cities.

OR
10:00am – Prior Park Landscape Garden – winter walk, beautiful views and the Nutcracker Christmas trail.

12:30/1:00pm – Boxing Day lunch somewhere atmospheric in central Bath. I can check which restaurants are actually taking bookings.

2:30pm – Bath sightseeing walk: Pulteney Bridge → The Circus → Royal Victoria Park → Royal Crescent. This gives the group the classic Bath sights without needing attractions to be open.

Late afternoon/early evening – something entertaining, possibly Bath on Ice, a Boxing Day pantomime/show at Theatre Royal.
Evening Christmas light experience.
Evening drinks/dinner, ideally somewhere with live music

All excursions are closed today due to Christmas holidays.

Last Day, we check out (Put luggage in storage at hotel, till we return from our trip)

We explore 2 of England's top destinations on this day tour from Bath. Visit Oxford, a city of students, spires and history, and the Cotswolds, with its cobbled streets, cottages and ancient pubs.
