"It's all there in black and white!": American Prints of the 30's and 40's

This is the story of how an out-of-work actor in eighteenth-century Munich created a process that would become one of the world's most widely used forms of image-making, and what a group of talented American artists did with it. The result is some of the best American art of any period, and a fascinating tour of the brutal transformation our country went through during the 1930s and 40s.
