The OpenSearch community is coming to Prague! Join us for an evening of talks about search, observability, and everything in between. Food and drinks will be provided at the venue.

Talk 1
Title: Anatomy of Search
Speaker: Honza Král, CTO Sidecar
Abstract: The time when "search" meant just a single query to your search engine has long past, if it ever existed. In this talk we will go over the other things that go into a good search implementation. We will start with query understanding and rewriting, go over how those influence the query building and interpretation and finally how the results are ranked and presented to the user. We will also touch on some of the challenges that come with search, such as dealing with ambiguous queries, and handling negative queries. By the end of this talk, you will have a better understanding of what goes into building a good search experience for your users.

Title: Open Source Observability with OpenSearch
Speaker: Dotan Horovits - Opensearch Ambassador
Abstract: You need observability, but most solutions force you to choose between capability and cost, or between openness and integration. Proprietary observability platforms lock you into expensive contracts and closed ecosystems. Fragmented open source tools leave you stitching together pipelines with duct tape and prayers.
What if you could have a complete, production-grade observability platform that is fully open source, built on open standards, and led by The Linux Foundation?
In this session, OpenSearch Ambassador Dotan Horovits shares how OpenSearch delivers a complete, open-source, OpenTelemetry-native observability platform for logs, metrics, traces, APM, and even AI agent observability. Dotan will share latest updates on the project, through the v3 releases, so this is your opportunity to catch up on the latest and greatest.
