Sunday 25th October | 10:30am

Come and join us for a lovely Sunday countryside walk around Redbourn and the River Ver, with a planned mid-walk stop at Redbournbury Watermill before heading back to Redbourn 🥾 if people are interested we could have a post walk drink or food in the village afterwards

📍 Meeting point: Redbourn Common Carpark
🕥 Meet: 10:30am
🥾 Distance: approximately 6 miles / 9.7 km
⏱️ Walking time: around 3 hours, depending on group pace and stops.

We’ll be following the Redbournbury Walk, taking in the beautiful Ver Valley and surrounding countryside. Link to the wal here: https://www.riverver.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/the-redbournbury-walk.pdf

🌾 Mid-walk Mill Shop stop

We’ll plan to arrive at Redbournbury Watermill after 1pm, when the Mill Shop is open, giving us a chance to have a browse and pick up something lovely along the way.

Please note that the bakery itself is not open on Sundays, so this isn’t a bakery stop — but the Mill Shop is open from 1pm–4:30pm on Sundays selling bread, cakes etc

👟 What to wear

This is a countryside walk, so please wear sensible walking shoes or, preferably, walking boots with good grip. There may be muddy or wet sections, as well as stiles and steps, so trainers aren’t recommended if the weather has been wet.

🌧️ Weather policy

We will only cancel in the event of heavy rain. A bit of typical British autumn weather won’t put us off! ☔️🌿

💕 This is a social walk rather than a speed walk — we’ll aim to keep a good pace but we also want to enjoy the scenery and have plenty of opportunity for a chat along the way.

Please bring:
Comfortable walking footwear
Weather-appropriate clothing
Plenty of Water
A snack if you need one
A bag if you’d like to buy something at the Mill Shop

After the walk, there is the option to head for brunch/coffee in Redbourn for some well-deserved food and a catch-up. ☕️🥐🥂

Come along, meet some lovely gals and enjoy a Sunday morning/afternoon in the countryside!
