🌅 SUNRISE PHOTOGRAPHY | SOUTH BANK 📅 Saturday, 26 September 2026 ⏰ Meet: 5:10 am 🌅 Sunrise: approx. 5:33 am 📍 Meeting Point: Near The Wheel of Brisbane, South Bank ☕ Optional Coffee / Breakfast Takeaway: approx. 6:30 am Early start, beautiful light and a relaxed morning behind the camera! 📸 Join us for a sunrise photography session along Brisbane’s South Bank. We’ll meet near The Wheel of Brisbane at 5:10 am, giving everyone around 20 minutes to find a composition, set up tripods and prepare before sunrise at approximately 5:33 am. We’ll explore the riverfront, the Neville Bonner bridge and capture the changing morning light, Brisbane River, city skyline, reflections, bridges, the Wheel and whatever interesting compositions we discover along the way. ☕ COFFEE / BREAKFAST At around 6:30 am, we’ll head to Coffee at the Kombi for optional takeaway coffee or breakfast. Grab something to eat or drink and enjoy a relaxed catch-up with the group after our sunrise shoot. 📸 WHAT TO BRING Camera or smartphone — all photography levels welcome Wide-angle and/or standard zoom lens Tripod — highly recommended for blue hour and sunrise Fully charged batteries and a spare if available Memory cards Lens cloth ND / graduated ND filters if you have them CPL/polarising filter — optional Remote shutter release or camera timer Comfortable walking shoes Light jacket Water Your creativity and willingness to experiment! ✨ PHOTOGRAPHY IDEAS Look for blue-hour cityscapes, long exposures of the river, reflections, silhouettes, leading lines, the Wheel of Brisbane, bridges and the transition into golden morning light. Beginners are very welcome.
