Hi Readers,

Next month’s book is The Fall of the House of Usher by Edgar Allan Poe

Book summary- The Fall of the House of Usher is a Gothic short story about an unnamed narrator who visits his mentally troubled childhood friend, Roderick Usher, at his gloomy, decaying mansion. The event will also discuss other works by Edgar Allan Poe such as the ‘Tell-Tale Heart’ and ‘The Raven’, as the short story is often published in anthologies of Poe’s other works.

Also if anyone is interested there is a Netflix series that adapts a variety of Poe’s poems and ties them into a single narrative over the series.

Look forward to seeing you,
Tom
