Or just hang out! --- Beyond Vibe Coding: The React App That Never Shipped The engineering skills that got the project to production. A business set out to build and ship a React app through vibe coding. It looked convincing, but it never made it to production. A new application was built from scratch, still using AI, and released to production. This talk walks through the build of a fullstack React app with Next.js, Better Auth, and PostgreSQL, from business requirements and architecture to authentication and state management. It covers how project context helped AI work across the stack, and how moving to a monorepo improved AI effectiveness and affected costs. AI was used throughout the build, but someone still had to understand the system and make the technical decisions.
