The trials of the 12 Pendle witches in 1612 are some of the most famous witch trials in English history - the perfect backdrop for a spooky adventure! Starting from the village of Barley, we’ll make our way around Ogden reservoirs as the sun starts to set. We’ll begin our ascent in the shadows as night falls, guided by the light of our head torches. Bring your best ghost tales and scary stories to share at the summit! This is a great introduction to night hiking and a perfect Halloween adventure. It takes approximately 3 hours to follow this route. This event is in total 8.1km and a well-rewarded walk. Once at the start of the hike, you will be led by trained mountain leaders all through the route. We’ve guided people of all abilities and welcome everyone to join us! Height: 557m Distance: 8.1km Time: 3 hours walking Difficulty: Easy/Moderate - Contains a short steep section on the walk, ok for anyone who can walk up their stairs 20 times.
