January Book Club: “Strangers In Time” by David Baldacci

Set in London in 1944, during World War II, Charlie has no parents, skips school, and survives each day by committing petty theft. After five years in the countryside, Molly returns to London only to find her parents missing. Without guardians or stability, Charlie and Molly find solace in Oliver, a recently widowed bookshop owner running "The Book Keep," who takes them under his wing. With German V-1 flying bombs and V-2 rockets—the world's first ballistic missiles—threatening the city, each harbors individual secrets and faces personal stakes tied to the war as they lean on each other, forming a unique family.
