A Festive Walk to Canterbury Cathedral and Magical Christmas Markets

Discover the magic of Kent’s beautiful countryside, with its castles and ancient villages, before visiting one of England's most historic cities and its enchanting Christmas markets.

We’ll start from old traditional village of Chilham, follow the scenic Stour Valley through fields and woodland, before taking the North Downs Way to the magnificent Canterbury Cathedral — a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its stunning architecture and rich history.

We’ll soak up the festive atmosphere at the Cathedral’s Christmas markets, before rounding off the day with a well-earned drink in a cosy local pub — the perfect end to a perfect day out!

Grade: Beginner/Intermediate - Mostly flat, with one or two short ascents.

Head torch for the last half an hour or so

Wicking base layer e.g. Polyester/Tencel/Merino

CANCELLING/REFUNDS

If you can no longer join the hike, please message the Host listed on here, and update your RSVP status to 'Not going', to allow others to take your place. If the hike is full, and you have messaged us and have changed your RSVP to 'Not going', we will refund you, less the PayPal/Meetup fees. To obtain this, please email [email protected] after the event, with the email address you use on your PayPal account and transaction reference. If the hike is not full, unfortunately we will not be able to provide any refund.
