Fresno Vinyl Discovery 101: Wax Digging Basics

If you have been wanting to start a vinyl collection but feel a little overwhelmed by the rows of crates at local shops, this meetup is for you. We are getting together to demystify the process of digging for records. We will cover the basics of how to inspect a used record for condition, what to look for when flipping through bins, and how to spot a pressing that might be worth taking home. It is a relaxed, low-pressure environment meant for anyone who is just starting their journey or who wants to get more comfortable browsing.

We will meet up at a local shop here in Fresno to put these tips into practice. You do not need to bring any equipment or have any prior knowledge; just bring your curiosity and maybe a list of a few artists or genres you have been wanting to explore. This is really just a chance to share some music appreciation and learn the ropes from others who are also just getting started.

If you have been curious about vinyl and want to learn how to shop with a bit more confidence, I would love to see you there. Please take a moment to RSVP if you can make it so I have an idea of how many folks to expect.
