The Bukit Kunong (931m) hike combined with Lata Jebus Waterfall is a rugged, jungle-immersed adventure located near Kampung Pertak.

Trail Overview & Specs
Location: Kampung Pertak, Kuala Kubu Bharu, Selangor, Malaysia
Summit Elevation: 931 meters
Trail Length: Approx. 8 km to 9 km (around 5.6 to 6 miles out-and-back)
Estimated Duration: 4 to 4.5 hours total (moving and chill time)

Route & Highlights
River Crossings: The trek typically starts past Kampung Pertak with cool mountain river crossings (including Sungai Pertak and Sungai Luit)

Checkpoints & Terrain:
CP1: Guarded by a large keruing tree.
CP2: Narrow bamboo climbs and steep, muddy inclines
requiring rope assists.
CP3: Partial views opening out toward the Selangor Dam in the valley.
Summit (931m): Often cloaked in mist with dense forest surrounding the trig station—focus is on the raw jungle journey rather open panoramas.
