A circular walk from Cranfield takes you across the Valley of the Marston Vale, a landscape once dominated by clay pits, brick factories, and landfill sites. In the 1990s, it was designated a community forest and is now being restored to nature with new lakes, expansive wetlands, and freshly planted forest. It’s a lovely walk through a now beautiful area, offering some fantastic views across the vale.

What to expect
An 11.5 mile walk through woodland and open fields, mainly on good tracks, some may be muddy in places. There will be few hills but nothing too challenging and a total ascent of 900ft. We will maintain a pace of just over 3 mph throughout the walk.

This walk is not too challenging but there are a few hills to tackle some of them quite steep. It is suitable for anyone with a moderate to good standard of walking fitness.

If you are a first timer, please read the 'About us...' section on the homepage before signing up for this walk, ensuring appropriate fitness and suitability.

If you can't make the walk, please change your RSVP in plenty of time to allow others to attend.
