Launching a Women in Tech ERG — from Idea to Impact

Big ideas need a starting point. Sometimes, it’s “What if we built a community?”

RSVP on Meetup and join us as we hear from:
Alex Wood, Director of Talent Acquisition, and Maureen Davis, Software Engineering Manager at NICO/BHHC. They will share the origin story of their company’s Women in Technology Employee Resource Group (ERG)—the “why” that sparked it and the “how” that brought it to life.

Thinking about starting a group at your workplace? Curious how an idea becomes a community? Come get inspiration and insight from people who’ve done it!

We’re also putting community into action! We’ll be collecting donations for the Women’s Center for Advancement (WCA) and invite you to bring items from this wish list to help support their work:

Purses and wallets
Cosmetic and beauty products
Body wash
Toothbrushes and toothpaste
Lotion
Deodorant
Period products
Diapers, sizes 3–7

Come for the connections while helping those in need this Thanksgiving season.

Special Thanks
A big thank you to National Indemnity Company (NICO) and Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies (BHHC) for hosting and sponsoring this event and to the Nebraska Tech Collaborative for being our 2026 sponsor.
