Join us for a rewarding 13β14-miles circular hike from Otford Station, exploring a beautifully varied section of the Kent Downs National Landscape. Weβll pass through a string of woods, open countryside, nature reserve land and higher ground, including Flatdeal Wood, Otford Mount, Kemsing Down Nature Reserve and White Hill.
This is the kind of route that keeps changing character as you walk β woodland one moment, open views the next, then back into quieter rural trails. If you enjoy a hike with variety, hills, wildlife and proper countryside scenery, this should be a very enjoyable one.

π« A SATURDAY THOUGHT
Some paths are easy to recognise. Others twist, climb and disappear briefly from view.
There are times when what you build, create or care about attracts imitation, criticism or outside noise. But another person can copy an idea, a route or a style without ever recreating the journey behind it.
What matters is keeping your own direction.
Keep walking. Keep climbing. Choose the battles worth your energy, and let the distance behind you speak for itself.
By the time we reach on top of the hill, perhaps the best thing is simply to look back and appreciate how far we have come.
π WHAT TO BRING
π₯Ύ Proper hiking boots or suitable walking shoes
π₯ͺ Lunch/snacks
π§ At least 2 litres of water
π§₯ Layers and waterproofs suitable for changing weather
πͺ Your best hill-conquering attitude!
